3rd CARTA Administrators' and Faculty Workshop, University of Ibadan, Nigeria

A capacity development training workshop for University Administrators and University Junior Faculty is to be conducted from August 30 to September 1, 2012 at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.  This is the second this year after the 2nd one which was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from January 30 - Febraury 1, 2012.
This workshop is being conducted in line with CARTA’s mandate to develop and deliver an innovative model for doctoral training in sub-Saharan Africa and to strengthen the capacity of participating institutions to conduct and lead internationally-competitive research. 
Those attending are junior faculty staff with less than five years after graduating, institutions administrators, finance officers, librarians, information technology personnel , and registrars.  It is expected that they will learn vital skills needed in doctoral training and be able to effectively support in research.  The theme of the workshop is Supporting Research & Postgraduate Programs in African Universities.
